Only the episodes you actually want.
Find a show, choose words that episode titles must or mustn't contain, and get a feed URL for your podcast app.
Have the feed's address?
Want your own filtered feeds? You have to host this in your own GitHub. Click here to set up your own copy on GitHub, about 15 minutes, no coding.
Connect GitHub to save feeds
Your filtered feeds are stored in your GitHub repository, so saving one needs a GitHub access token. You only do this once per device.
- Open GitHub's new token page and sign in.
- Give it a name, like "Podcast filter", and pick an expiration date.
- Under Repository access, choose Only select repositories and pick your podcast-filter repo.
- Under Permissions, find Contents and set it to Read and write.
- Click Generate token and copy it. GitHub only shows it once.
- Here, click , paste the token into Access token, and click Save settings.
The token stays in this browser and is only sent to GitHub. It can only change this one repository. Don't share it or post it anywhere.
Add your feed to Apple Podcasts
After you save a feed, copy its URL. You can find it again any time under Your feeds.
On iPhone or iPad
- Open the Podcasts app and tap Library.
- Tap the ⋯ button in the top-right corner, then Follow a Show by URL.
- Paste the feed URL and tap Follow.
- Open the show, tap ⋯, then Settings, and turn on automatic downloads.
On a Mac
- Open the Podcasts app and choose File → Follow a Show by URL.
- Paste the feed URL and click Follow.
Then unfollow the original show so you stop getting the episodes you filtered out. New episodes show up within about an hour of being released.
Any one match is enough. Leave empty to keep everything.
Checked after the keep list. Capital letters don't matter.
"Newest" caps how many matching episodes the feed keeps. 0 keeps all of them.
